Battery & energy storage

The identity is created at the factory — before the final owner exists — by bulk pre-provisioning (built to support up to 2,000 identities per API call today, millions via the queued bulk pipeline). From there the supply chain flows through one graph: manufacturer allocates → distributor's Inventory → installer → owner claims → service → warranty → resale → recycling.
Solar & renewable
A panel, inverter, battery and gateway each carry their own identity, linked into one asset graph (COMPONENT_OF / INSTALLED_IN) — the customer sees "My solar system", the manufacturer keeps its technical data, the installer records installation, and the service partner sees only service-required information.
One identity does not mean everyone sees everything.
Identity, data, access and purpose are separate. GrowLeafy separates what a thing IS from who is allowed to know what — with per-field visibility, consent and purpose limited by design. No organization gets the whole database.
The same underlying engine enforces this everywhere — the Privacy DisclosureEngine (per-field, server-side), organization tenant isolation, API scopes and consent-based access. Medical equipment keeps its equipment identity separate from any patient/clinical data: asset identity ≠ clinical record.
